This unit focuses on what is meant by the term ‘hazard’, the main hazard categories, what is meant by the term ‘risk’, what a risk assessment is and how to use it. The unit also looks at how to reduce risks and what is meant by the term ‘reasonably practicable’.
In this unit we look at the common hazards within the workplace, the potential effects the hazards may have and how these hazards can be controlled. This unit aims to expand your knowledge of the many hazards that can be faced in the workplace such as, working at height, hazardous substances, alcohol and drugs, manual handling and more.
This unit focuses on the employers’ and employees’ responsibilities when it comes to health and safety in the workplace. It looks at what actions can be taken to manage and improve health and safety by an organisation, and the effect of attitudes and behaviour on health and safety.
This online assessment contains 2 parts. Part A is made up of the first 20 questions. Part B is made up of the next 8 questions . In order to pass, you must achieve at least 30 points out of a possible 49. Both part A and B must be completed within 30 minutes.
