Unit 1 – Introduction to Equality and Diversity

The first unit looks at what is meant by equality, equality of opportunity and diversity, The Equality Act 2010, employers and employee responsibilities and the benefits of equality and diversity.

Unit 2 – Unacceptable Behaviours

In this unit we look at what is meant by discrimination, harassment, victimisation, bullying, stereotyping, prejudice and bias. The unit also looks at the effects of unacceptable behaviour, lawful discrimination and positive discrimination.

Unit 3 – Protected Characteristics

In this unit we explore what characteristics are protected and what is included within each protected characteristic.

Unit 4 – Promoting Equality and Diversity

In this unit we look at barriers preventing equality and diversity, equality and diversity policy, monitoring and consultation, training and information, positive action, recruitment, equal pay, reporting a problem and reasonable adjustments.
