This half-day MFHA England course qualifies learners as Mental Health Aware. The aim of this course is to raise awareness, tackle stigma and empower people to access mental health initiatives and support. One of the ways to improve the mental health culture of an organisation is to ensure everyone has a good understanding of what mental health is, what they should look out for and how they can get help should they need it.
Who is this course for?

This comprehensive course offers an in-depth exploration of mental health, providing insights into its fundamental aspects, the continuum of mental well-being, and the various factors that influence it, including societal stigma and stress management. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of distress and understand significant mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, and the critical issues of suicide and self-harm. The course emphasizes recovery and practical approaches to initiating supportive conversations through the “Take 10 Together” initiative. It also focuses on how to support mental health in workplace environments, integrating useful statistics and resources to equip delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively assist others in maintaining or improving their mental health.
